Ummm..Steve, no thank you my friend.
For one thing, I’m too honest, I’ve never taken a cent that I didn’t earn, I don’t steal. Steve, there is not a candidate around who has the best interest of the voters in mind. If there is one, would someone please let me know who they are? Take Scott as an example…using over 55 million dollars of his own money, to be elected Governor…a position that pays less than 230K a year….oh yea…he loves Florida and the citizens that make up this state… (I see a future Carl Hiaasen novel in the works on this election… )
Also Steve, for the first time in my life, I changed parties…I’m no longer a Democrat/Republican…I’d love to see an Independant win an election… If the Republicans and Democrats used all the campaign resources they’ve spent on this election alone, put it into a health-care fund, every documented worker in this country would have 100% paid health care for a year. Now, that would be a wonderful concept wouldn’t it….instead of all this “Let’s take back our country” rant…for one thing, it’s not your country to give pack people…it’s everyone’s country…Democrats, Republicans, Independants…etc…all our country…so, there’s nothing to take back…period!
But wouldn’t it be a great country if we focused on helping one another, helping your neighbor…. instead of all this: “I’ve got mine, to hell with you” ideology… what a bunch of crap and fuc*ed up thinking.
You know Steve, George Harrison was right and perhaps he was 20 years ahead of his time, when he wrote: “I Me Mine, I Me Mine, I me Mine”… think about it… I have my health care, the hell with my neighbor dying because they can’t afford health care, because their job has been outsourced….
Sure, Obama’s Health Care plan isn’t perfect, but at least the man is trying to do soemthing about health care for the 60,000,000.000 in this country with no coverage at all, no prescription care…nothing… what did Bush do…he spent his term trying to keep his daughters out of rehab….
Also, did you know John, that Nixon spent more money trying to deport John Lennon, than he did his presidential campaign? This is a known fact. Check the FBI reports, that are slowly begining to surface. (90% of the reports contained in the FBI files have been blackened out…why do you suppose this is John?) Nixon didn’t want Lennon deported over his illegal marijuana use my friend…both you and I know this. Nixon knew than Lennon had too much influence on trying to end the Vietnam War…which Nixon wanted to keep going. Nixon felt this would ruin his chances in winning a second term…but then again, we all know how that turned out, don’t we?
There is only one person worth voting for…that’s Jesse Ventura… the man can’t be bought.
That’s why I said your name Dan as I know you are honest.I agree with you and I am so sick of politics.I can go on and on and on but your points are spot on.Great Harrison quote and I remember it well as the Beatles were my favorite group of all time.Ah yes Nixon..another beauty.I liked Jesse at first Dan but he became like all the others and should be not be taken seriously anymore.JP you were a member of the SDS?Must be a Michigan boy? They are still in existence today but certainly not as large as they were in the 60s.Peace!
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel – This is the gal from Minneapolis, remember? You said there’s only one worth voting for … Jesse Ventura. OMG, your remark took my breath away! We all wish you’d come up here, take him away. How ’bout that??? Deal?????
Karen…I did. I sent him to Mexico for ya (where his residency is)- he still owns a home in Minn. though….. now, you owe me…. lol
To be honest Karen, people are getting so frustrated with politics these days…the joke of it all…Heck, take a look at our Governor in Florida; Scott… Florida’s elections are giving Carl Hiaasen enough material, to keep him in writing years from now.
Daniel, only one problem: Mexico, Minnesota, Mexico, Minnesota, etc. No matter what, where, “we” know he’ll be back. So grab him by that pony tail on his chin, giddyyup, pull him down to FL on a “no return” policy. BTW, if he knew who Hiaasen was, he’d want to be in his next book.
