So, yes, I admit it. I watch Jon Stewart. Particularly when he has guests like King Abdulla II of Jordan.
You should watch this clip (you can skip the humor stuff at the beginning, if you’re like me) — King Abdullah is about as smart and reasonable-sounding as you would want a leader of a country to be.
Watch King Abdullah making Jon Stewart straighten up and fly right.
He spoke plainly, well, passionately, and firmly. No strategic pauses or inflections (a la Obama); no strained hyperbole (like nearly every Republican or Fox Schmooze correspondent).
Just a real man sounding like a real leader. I dig this guy.
