MC Coolidge Best Blogger 2010 — Sarasota Magazine Readers’ Poll

Holy Cow! Back in early January I posted a short blog inviting readers to vote for me — if they felt like it — in Sarasota Magazine’s Annual “Best of” issue for 2010. Well, apparently, at least a few of you did just that because guess what? I won!

MC Coolidge Best Blogger 2010 Sarasota Magazine’s Annual Readers Best of Poll. Wicked, wicked cool!

best

Last year, some of you may recall, I came in as a finalist in the annual poll — which was still very cool. And this year, I picked up the #1 slot beating out the über popular Mr. Chatterbox aka Robert Plunket who writes a monthly column for Sarasota Magazine as well as a regular (very funny) blog.

I’m thrilled — really — it’s very fun and quite a nice honor — and I TOTALLY THANK each and every person who took the time to cast a ballot for me. Very sweet.

I just happened to stop by Barnes & Noble today after a quick visit at my Mom’s and saw the issue on the newsstand … picked it up … and got a lovely surprise to see my name. The new issue is out now, so pick it up yourself and read all about all the “best of” places, people, things to do, hotspots, and um, bloggers! 😉

When I came home I read editor Pam Daniel’s column and read that Bob Plunkett has been in the hospital lately recovering from a triple bypass surgery. I was sorry to read that, but I gather that he’s going to be back in his chatterbox catbird seat soon — commenting on all the hipster, socialite, sophisticate, goings-on in this town. I read his column all the time, so I can’t wait for him to be back on the scene and wish him a speedy, thorough recovery.

And thanks again to everyone who voted for me in this poll — seriously, it’s a very nice treat, renews my enthusiasm for blogging, and keeps me ever-hopeful that someday some editor somewhere will say hey, she’s got a following, let’s give her a job so she can keep her cats in cat chow.

ME-OW!
