Okay, after much nagging from readers and friends and much procrastinating from this end of the computer, I’m biting the bullet and launching my online column — Reality OnlineMy first online column is posted below — it’s called I’m blaming Bill. You’ll also see a selection of other previously published columns — some of which you may have read and some perhaps not.

I’m continuing to pursue an in-print, old-fashioned newspaper gig, but without a lot of luck.   I was offered one regular gig — but they wanted me to write for free!  Nice to have any offer, I guess, but it’s not the kind I can accept if I want to continue to put Meow Mix on the table!  The Tampa Tribune is still gracious (and wonderful) enough to periodically run my work — and yes, they PAY!

If you’re a newspaper-ink-all-over-your-hands kind of person like me, you may have no interest in reading an online column.  BUT, I hope you might make an exception for mine!  The more people who read me online, the better chance I have of convincing some editor somewhere (over the rainbow?) that I have enough of a following to warrant being in print!

If you are willing to take a periodic gander from time to time — there are several options.  You can simply make this site a “favorite” and visit it whenever you like.  Or, you could sign up for the RSS feed — just look at the buttons at top right; it’s easy!  I’ve set it up so you can choose to receive a feed ONLY when a new column is published (about once a week), or you can receive a feed of EVERY posting — whenever I write quick blogs, update events, or post news about my big break (could it hurry up, please?!), etc.  And don’t forget — you can post comments on this site to any column or entry whenever you like — just be aware that they can be viewed by anyone who visits the site.

Thanks for taking the time to look at Reality Online! Hope to see you here again — in the blogosphere.

  1. Hey why buy the book if you can read all your (past) columns for free……….think republican just give your loyal followers a taste……….best of luck

  2. I think you will find that blogging is very liberating for you as a writer. No editors to edit out the “sensitive” key items you wanted left in. No possibility of losing your job for having an opinion.

  3. Sorry it took us so long, but I have finally marked your site as a favorite and am catching up on your columns. We are excited about your new venture. Keep on blogging. You are a refreshing voice of reason.
