Nope, I’m not putting out a personal ad … at least not yet! But what I am doing is spreading the word about a unique entertainer … and entertainment troupe … right here in SRQ!

The gg Monologues is — you guessed it — monologue as entertainment. Subjects covered in the monologues cover everything from being single in Sarasota to love, marriage, hope, the importance of friends, etc. I think you can even request a special topic for a monologue.

I saw local actress Christine Alexander

perform a couple of The gg Monologues a year or so ago at a hipster soiree at the equally hipster Rosemary District boutique, everything but the girl on Central Avenue. Alexander made me laugh, kept me interested, and left me wondering what she’d say next (thanks to the words of gg Monologue writer and creator, Amy Knapp.

Anyway, the Monologues look like a cool, relatively inexpensive way to jazz up your home entertaining, girls’ night in, bachelorette party, special event, etc.
