The best speakers don’t just “speak” … they engage.
My former newspaper columns, “Reality Chick,” in the Pelican Press and later “Sense and the City,” in the Sarasota Herald Tribune, have led to many requests for speaking events, panel discussions, and radio and television appearances. My writing has also appeared in guest columns and the Op/Ed sections of the St. Petersburg Times, Tampa Tribune, Bradenton Herald, and Sarasota Herald Tribune.
As a speaker, I’ve brought fresh, funny (at least I hope so!) and forthright points of view to a diverse range of audiences. Whether tackling political and social issues, celebrating living on the Suncoast, making sense of Sarasota’s “hot topics,” or facing the challenges of life with boldness, I try to tell it like it is … with humor, grace, and a healthy appreciation for the opinion of others.
I am available as a keynote, guest speaker, panelist, and emcee for a variety of events — including conferences, business and employee meetings, classroom settings, forums, fundraising events, clubs, organizations, and alumni association meetings.
