Just call me Michelin MC
Arrggghhh. Does anyone remember me writing, lamenting, I guess, about some health problems I was having? If there’s nothing I hate more, it’s when people talk about their health — harsh, probably, but seriously, don’t we all know someone who from the moment you encounter them, is telling (or worse, showing!) you in nearly nauseating […]

After yesterday’s ridiculous vote on the don’t ask/don’t tell scenario, this announcement below comes as a very welcome bit of news: From the Tampa Tribune 9/22/10 Court affirms Florida ban on adoption by gays unconstitutional The Associated Press Florida will immediately stop enforcing its ban on adoptions by gay people following a decision by a […]
My not-so-married life
This month, September, in fact today, is the anniversary of my divorce. I’ve been divorced twice as long now as my marriage even lasted. And yet, I found myself thinking of my brief experience of being a married woman last night and again this morning.

Me, myself, and I
A while back I posted a blog about Word of Mouth — and in it, I was coming down hard on the service — the manners of the wait staff mostly, and then I followed that up with a blog called Heads Up, where I came down hard again on people whose dining manners left […]
MC (and Coco) in da house
Clearing out a folder of photos and came across these. Just goes to show the fact that at least in 2008 and early 2009, I actually did get out of my house and into “da house!”
All signs point to stillness
Signs come at you in little ways at first, right? Someone mentions their timing belt blew out on a drive to Orlando. You pass by a car on the side of the road with it’s hood up and a guy standing beside it with his cell phone out, looking hot and late for wherever he […]
